Performs a variety of Pacemaker function procedures as ordered by the physician, utilizing established standard operating procedures. The Pacemaker Technician is responsible for coordinating the workflow of cardiac monitor devices, pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization devices. This person is responsible for monitoring and review of cardiac rhythms in person as well as from remote transmissions from multiple vendors/manufacturer web- based systems. This includes interpretation of device measurements, interpretation of complex arrhythmias, analyze data that reflects clinical scenarios, and retrieval and triage of that information. The information is compiled and summarized as a report for entry to the electronic medical record ensuring physician evaluation with appropriate billing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience in Pacemaker laboratory or completion of cardiac device training program.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: BCLS Certification.
