Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Xray Tech Student demonstrates anatomy utilizing X-Rays through proper patient positioning, technique selection and application of Radiation Safety according to department policies and procedures. Always works directly under the supervision of a registered tech until completion of Rad Tech Program.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Attending or graduate of AMA Accredited Radiology Technology Program Must obtain ARRT credentials within one year of hire.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Enrolled in an Accredited Radiology Program. Must have completed all required masteries. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
