Position: Industrial Sewer
Shift: Day Shift
Pay: $17.00/hr to start
Essential Responsibilities:
- Able to Set-up, thread, and operate and maintain sewing machine
- Knowledge of when and how to adjust thread tension and stitches per inch
- Ability to measure including hem and stitches per inch
- Ability to join sew, deck sew, maintain even sew lines with and without foot/gauge
- Ability to follow written instructions and check every part to sample
- Willingness to learn and operate machines including but not limited to: Box stitch, double needle, bar tack, grommet, snap machine, binder, RF welder, straight knife cutting machine.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Related experience or vocational training.
- Hand to eye coordination.
- Technical capacity.
- Ethical conduct.
- Willingness to support other departments.
- Team oriented.
- Maintain good attendance.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, in excess of 8 hours.
- Life and/or carry at least 50 pounds.
- Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms; stooping, bending, twisting, squatting and kneeling.
- Moderate to high noise level.
