SUMMARY:
Responsible for supervising the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services administered to clients by behavior technicians. Conduct behavioral assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and train direct staff to ensure treatment fidelity and quality of service. Practicum QBHPs must have completed their Master’s Degree course work and are actively working toward meeting the Behavior Analyst Certification Board supervision requirements.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of a Behavior Analyst Certification Board(BACB) accredited college
Actively pursuing completion of supervision hours in accordance with a Mercy Plus supervision contract and BACB requirements/state mandate
Fulfill credentialing requirements per payor source
QBS, adult/child CPR, and first aid certified
Current negative TB test
Clear criminal history and background checks
Demonstrate high level of compassion for others
Ability to travel to multiple locations within employment area
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Maintain client and staff confidentiality
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting 50 lbs. Or more expensive bending and standing
Willingness to undergo Quality Behavioral Solutions (QBS) training and effectively implement these techniques when necessary, including monitoring usage of techniques by behavior technicians
Ability to respond appropriately in volatile situations using appropriate behavioral strategies
DUTIES:
Clinical Supervision:
A total of 25 billable supervision hours is expected under the guidance of your BCBA practicum supervisor
Schedule and complete initial assessments
Develop behavior treatment plans and/or behavior intervention plans
Monitor re-evaluation dates, 45 day start of care timelines, and waitlists
Monitor client response to treatment:
Choose appropriate pacing and evidence-based teaching methods to meet clients’ needs Data based decision making per client on a weekly basis
Provide regular training and oversight of program implementation
Complete the required parent education and training per treatment plan
Minimum of 10% supervision per case
Supervision in home and/or center-based services is required
Assist with additional case load coverage as needed
Cover lead/BT shifts as required
Complete behavior technician support sessions
Supervise opening and closing shifts
Prepare and oversee circle-time and/or social skills group
Staff training and development:
Support professional growth, development, and satisfaction
Complete growth goals & performance feedback
Review growth goals and provide performance feedback
Provide support & resources to ensure success
Maintain an open, positive rapport with referral sources and staff members
Respond to and resolve complaints made by parents, staff, and referral sources Communicate effectively with other behavior technicians, clinicians, and speech/occupational/physical therapy providers
Timely completion and submission of administrative reports
Monthly 10% supervision report, billing/SOAP notes, assessments etc.
Quality Improvement:
Attend weekly team meetings
Oversee information flow to staff members via staff/supervision meetings
Plan/assist with the completion of marketing & outreach initiatives
