Description:
Administers basic and advanced life support care, as well as other medical treatment or assessments to patients in pre-hospital setting. Operates within the scope of practice covered by his/her licensure level under the direction of a Physician and consistent with state and local standard operating protocols. Paramedic who has demonstrated proficiency and completed successfully the Lead Medic approval process. Performs continuation of care and observation during inter-facility patient transfers per direction of responsible physician.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current Paramedic license from the State of Michigan.
Current certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BTLS (Basic Trauma Life Support), and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
Valid State of Michigan motor vehicle operating license, with continued safe driving history.
Successful completion of Lead Medic process and on-going completion of requirements for retention of Lead Medic status.
