Position: Teacher Assistant
Location: Divine Child Care Center, Bridgeport, MI
Employment Type: Part-time
Hours: Monday - Friday, between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Exact shift hours to be discussed)
About Divine Child Care Center:
Divine Child Care Center is a nurturing and supportive daycare facility dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating environment for children aged 3 to 5 years old. We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Teacher Assistant to support our lead teachers in creating a positive, educational, and fun environment for the children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities and educational programs for children aged 3-5.
- Provide support in managing daily routines, including mealtime, playtime, and nap schedules.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Monitor and engage with children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and loving atmosphere to help children thrive emotionally and socially.
- Assist in preparing and organizing instructional materials.
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children, offering support and feedback.
- Monitor and report any health, behavioral, or developmental concerns to the lead teacher.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to work well with young children and assist in their physical, emotional, and educational development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patient, nurturing, and passionate about working with children.
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to the changing needs of the classroom.
