Co-Op January through August 2025
Responsibilities:1. Assist with design and implementation new products2. Design fixtures/ tools for welding, assembly, and machine areas3. Assist with preventative maintenance procedures4. Participate and Lead Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) events (1 week long event to improve processes)5. Recognize and help with problem solving efforts in the plant6. Create methods for standard work procedures7. Work with design engineers to reduce costs and help improve quality of productEducation: Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience: 1. Basics of manufacturing processes such as welding, metal cutting and forming, painting and assembly2. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts3. Experience with 3D CAD or Creo Parametric is a plus4. Experience in fixture design (part specific tables and tools to help with manufacturing practices)Skills:1. Strong analytical and organizational skills2. Strong leadership skills to lead a team and pull information from others3. Problem solving skills4. Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Pro-Engineer5. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing 6. Ability to take on multiple responsibilities/ projects at once7. Prioritize based on due dates or importance of projects
