Job Description
Mead & Hunt's Water/Wastewater Operations business unit within our larger One Water group, focuses on environmental consulting and design/build/operate for water/wastewater and storm water treatment systems at mining sites, is seeking a highly motivated supervisor. This position's responsibilities include supervising, managing, and mentoring staff; primary project management of environmental monitoring projects along with water/wastewater treatment projects; client management; assisting with forecasting, budgeting and productivity tracking. Travel and field work will be required.
The successful candidate must have a combination of education and/or experience totaling seven years of relevant experience. Any of the following is acceptable: bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related field plus 3 years of experience; associate degree in civil engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience; no degree plus 7 years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
Construction and maintenance of water treatment systems
Working in a supervisory, management, or mentoring role while continuing operations field work role
Coordinating tasks related to data logging field monitoring equipment and installation;
Budgeting and forecasting project needs.
The ideal candidate will also have MSHA training and industrial water and wastewater operator certifications or the ability to obtain Michigan Industrial Wastewater C3A within one year of hire.
