Electronics Integration Project Manager – Coopersville, MI

Position Summary:
The Electronics Integration Project Manager works closely with Sales Professionals to apply the latest technology in smart home technology. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the quality and budget of a project. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing electronic projects and installations including: structured wiring, enterprise grade network systems, interior shading solutions, exterior retractable screen solutions, distributed audio and video, and lighting control systems. This position is located in Coopersville Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Manage electronic installations so they are completed efficiently, completely, and within budget
- Work closely with a lead technician who is in the field on the job and ensure the technicians have all necessary materials, scope of work, and tools needed for the job
- Troubleshoot system issues and try to diagnose problems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, hardware specifications and technical manuals
- Represent yourself and Bekins in a professional manner
- Ability to clearly communicate and educate home owners on their integrated electronic system
- Create, maintain, and complete documentation of each project
- Recommend products, solutions, and services based on approved budget amounts with internal and external customers
- Follow-up with contractors about job progression: time frame, cabinet sizes, cabinet layouts, and check space requirements for our specified gear in all rooms
Qualifications:
- Experience with Lutron, Crestron, and Control 4 is a plus
- Must have a passion in the latest electronic products, systems, devices and tools
- Find enjoyment in helping the customer get the right product installed and programmed to their specifications and preferences
- Consistently strive for excellence in your work
- Be proficient in setting up apps
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Be thorough and consistent in documenting work performed on appropriate forms
- Be able to anticipate and head off problems that can jeopardize deadlines, budgets and client acceptance
- Be able to organize and prioritize work for their team and ensure there are no unanticipated delays
- Must be able to successfully communicate effectively via e-mail, meetings, and updates on the job
- Must be pragmatic by ensuring work is getting done with resources available to you. Ensuring time and effort are spent wisely
