General Statement of Duties: Operation of forklift/hilo, CombiLift and/or crane. Responsibilities range from loading/unloading materials onto/off machines and trucks. Ensure proper bin location of materials in warehouse and in SAP.
Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Shift Supervisor or Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, depending on assigned shift.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion to include: constant lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, walking, reaching, working overhead, climbing, standing, and the ability to maintain one's balance while performing the required work tasks. Must be able to work 8 hours per day, standing on a concrete floor. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires frequent unassisted lifting of a variety of objects from various positions, which range in weight from 5 to 50 pounds with an average weight of 34 – 37 pounds. Utilizes a variety of hand positions to work equipment controls and maneuver tubes throughout manufacturing process. Most jobs are fast paced and the ability to deal with stress is essential.
Typical Working Conditions: Indoor, manufacturing environment with minimal exposure to loud and prolonged noise—when exposed, hearing protection is required. Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include safety glasses with side shields and steel toed work shoes. Employees experience regular exposure to hot temperatures of 95° F to 110° F in the summer due to the combination of the actual outside temperature and heat from the processes inside the facility. Employees are also exposed to cold temperatures, which is dependent on the actual outside temperature. Employees stand 8 hours on concrete floors and are required to wear steel toed safety shoes.
Examples of Essential Duties: A typical day consists of the following tasks. Ensures that the equipment is in a safe operating condition. Review the computerized work list for the equipment, must be able to locate available material. Utilizes fork truck and Combi lift to load/unload material and move bundles of tubing throughout warehouse. These actions require the operator to climb in/out of the equipment, fork truck and Combi Lift and average of 75 times per day. The material handler is also required to walk approximately three miles per day. Ensures scrap hoppers are emptied throughout facility during assigned shift. Is responsible to build and stage boxes during shift. Material Handlers may be required to “fill-in” for other positions when there is a need. Use of FIFO inventory management to ensure oldest material is used first. Housekeeping and preventative maintenance duties are required daily. Following of all safety policies and procedures required.
