About the Role:
As the Manager of Warehouse Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will lead a team of warehouse personnel, ensure efficient operation of warehouse processes, and maintain a safe and organized work environment. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to optimizing warehouse operations to meet customer demands and business objectives.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of warehouse supervisors, coordinators, and associates. Provide direction, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations, improve efficiency, and meet productivity targets. Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counting, stock replenishment, and reconciliation. Ensure accurate inventory records and timely identification and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Implement warehouse layout optimization, aisle marking, and storage systems to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient material handling.
Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of inbound and outbound shipments. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues and non-conformances.
Monitor order processing workflows and fulfillment performance. Coordinate with customer service, sales, and logistics teams to prioritize orders, expedite shipments, and meet customer delivery deadlines.
Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors. Schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct safety training, inspections, and incident investigations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and warehouse metrics to measure operational performance, productivity, and efficiency. Analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization in warehouse operations. Implement best practices, technology solutions, and workflow enhancements to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics management, with years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and material handling processes.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of warehouse personnel.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and best practices in warehouse safety and risk management.
Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making abilities.
Commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer service excellence in warehouse operations.
Pay Disclosure:
The pay range for this position starts at $70,000.; however, base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
