The rebuild technician provides diagnostic and technical support to products brought in from the field. These technicians have a wide skill set that allows them to work on a variety of different product models and systems. They are responsible for diagnosing, identifying and repairing malfunctions with the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems for the units. They will have a good understanding of the concepts surrounding these systems and how they have been integrated into the various units. This person communicates through different departments to ensure that the correct diagnosis of the problem is identified, and the best solution is chosen. These individuals are self-motivated with a sense of urgency. These people are also team focused realizing the strength of working together to correctly solve problems.

Role and Responsibilities
- Ability to read, understand and communicate blueprints and other paperwork related to the service work order.
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Welding and Fabrication knowledge
- Familiarity with a wide range of common, power, commercial and industrial tools.
- Excellent time management and self-motivated
- Maintain organization of machine parts to make the rebuilding process smoother and more efficient.
- Certified Operator on all necessary equipment (Forklift, Crane, Hydraulic hoses, heavy equipment, etc)
- Knowledge of 12- or 24-volt electrical systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems (how they function, major concepts, etc.)
- Mechanical Aptitude or a willingness to learn mechanical techniques
- Critical thinker that can adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
- Excellent verbal communication to relay information to teammates, supervisors and customers.
- Team focused utilizing other employees’ strengths to complete jobs.
- Organize and keep clean work area
- Be on time and dependable
- Ability to Follow safety procedures and wear all PPE
Essential Job Functions/Physical Demands
· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and use buddy system or equipment for heavier weights.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
· Employee is required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
· Employee is required to used hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls.
· Employee is required to reach with hands and arms.
· Employee is required to talk or hear
Work Environment
· While performing the duties of this job, employees work near moving mechanical parts or in outside weather conditions.
· Employees are exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals
· Noise level in the work environment is high.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-5 years of experience working in a repair or service workshop; commercial or industrial experience preferred
- Forklift truck certification preferred
- Must be able to work well in a team
- Ability to read. write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
- Ability to operate computers and relevant manufacturing and warehouse computer software
