Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education
- Valid Michigan teaching certification
- Appropriate mathematics endorsement
- Consent to/pass background check
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify the needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments.
- Plan, deliver, and assess learner instruction.
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable attitude while working in the classroom and with other staff.
- Maintain knowledge of the academic, social, and emotional needs of learners.
- Use research-based instructional strategies that address the full range of cognitive levels.
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in adjusting instruction to meet students.
- Engage students in varied experiences that meet diverse needs and promote social, emotional and academic growth.
- Maintain regular communication with parents utilizing email, phone calls, and conferences.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with school district regulations and legal requirements.
