This position is a key leadership role within the Monroe Packaging Center, responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of the operation. As the Continuous Improvement Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals in implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and achieving operational excellence. You will play a critical role in ensuring the facility meets its production goals while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
This is a hands-on position that requires a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, a proven track record in manufacturing operations, and a passion for continuous improvement.
This position is 100% onsite (Monroe, MI) with no opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
Candidate will need some flexibility to work day shifts and afternoon shifts as needed (Day Shift: 6 AM to 2:30 PM EST / Afternoon Shift: 6 PM to 2:30 AM EST).
What you'll do...
Responsible for all continuous improvement plans and implementation at the Monroe Packaging Center including, but not limited to:
Champion CIP, Ergo, and Safety teams
Supporting all Safety, Productivity, Errors, Quality, Cycle Times, Inbound and Outbound Operations improvement initiatives
Managing and directing a workforce (salary and hourly maintenance employees) toward delivery of all building KPI's
Manage to deadlines and timelines, with high degree of planned and unplanned variables and complexities.
Dedicated team player with ability to collaboratively work with all stakeholders (Safety, Quality, UAW, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, Transportation, and the DPA network)
You'll have...
Industrial Engineering Degree is a must
Candidate must be based in Monroe, MI or open to relocating. Relocation assistance is available for this role.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations
3+ years of extensive knowledge and experience with MODAPTS or Ford Production Standards
3+ years of manufacturing and/or maintenance leadership experience
Must be flexible with rotational shifts
