The Default Cash Posting Coordinator is responsible for reconciliation and timely/accurate delivery of posting instructions for payoff, reinstatement, Investor/Insurer claim settlement funds and third party sale, REO proceeds. Analysis and preparation of processing instruction associated with unapplied E, L and M bucket funds, vendor refunds and Investor/Insurer demands. Validation of non-recoverable expense submissions. Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay for this position is $19.50-$23.00/hr.
What you'll do:
Prepare timely and accurate posting instructions for application of payoff, reinstatement, Investor/MI claim settlement funds and third party sale or REO proceeds.
Analyze unapplied funds and complete applicable steps to ensure proper disposition.
Evaluate Investor/Insurer demands against supporting documentation and prepare remittance package.
Ensure timely liquidation of system balances upon receipt of final Investor/Insurer claim settlement, payoff funds or sale proceeds.
Validate supporting documentation and appropriate recoverability for non-recoverable expense submissions.
Complete duties with accuracy and within defined service level expectations as provided by Supervisor/Manager. Provide prompt notification to Supervisor/Manager of delayed completion of duties or identified errors.
Maintain working knowledge of all state and federal regulations in relation to permissible fees and costs and recoverability from mortgagor.
Assume responsibility for completion of assigned duties. Exercise authority required to accomplish assigned duties and accept full accountability for results achieved.
Plan and schedule work so that it can perform efficiently and effectively; reduce costs where possible.
Solid working knowledge of Default Servicing as well as state, federal and agency guidelines.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to substantiate facts and properly document them.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Diplomatic and assertive communication skills.
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Comprehensive writing skills, including proper punctuation and grammar, organization, and formatting.
Ability to work under general direction to accomplish department goals and reduce/mitigate financial loss to CMS and its Clients.
Ability to work effectively and develop rapport with all levels of staff, management, Investors/Insurers and 3rd parties.
Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact to immediate work unit.
Ability to identify urgent matters requiring immediate action and properly escalating them.
Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and changing priorities.
What you'll need:
High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Six (6) months to one (1) year of general office/mortgage servicing default experience preferred
Previous Foreclosure or Investor/Insurer Claims experience preferred
