Job Title: Applications Engineer
Job Description
The Applications Engineer will be responsible for working directly with customers and sales reps to discuss, refine, and sell industrial equipment. Once the proposal has been accepted from the customer, the Applications Engineer will start the formal quoting process. They will be the main point of contact with customers to review the equipment specs and customer requirements, and will develop and write testing specifications, performance requirements, cost estimates, and proposals/quotes. This role works cross-functionally with operations to come up with timelines, which can be estimated based on previous projects. Once designs are created, they will follow the project all the way through production. Throughout the whole process, they will address any questions from production and customers.

This is a fully on-site position in Riverside, Michigan.
Work Environment
They will be reporting to the person and working alongside 3 other Applications Engineers and one other Applications/Sales Engineer who is local. Typical work week is 45 hours. They will be working cross-functionally with Sales and Engineering daily and the shop floor throughout the build phase. Most of this role is spent in a desk setting but will need to work on the floor at times as needed. About 50% of the time will be spent working directly with customers. They would like this individual to travel to Wisconsin a couple times a year for training and potentially travel for trade shows also.
