As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will operate a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe and/or Mill in our fast-paced environment and work from written instructions and blueprints to mill parts to specifications. The CNC Lathe Machinist will operate one or more CNC machine types to produce parts to specification and ensure part quality. This position is located in Farmington, MI and is offering a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus!
Responsibilities for the CNC Lathe Machinist:
- Setup and running of CNC Lathes and/or Mills
- Able to indicate diameters and faces on setup pieces and low-volume production
- Conduct in-process inspection
- Produce parts as per manufacturing schedule, part specification and quality standards
- Measure parts using micrometers and calipers
- Complete and organize required paperwork (work orders, work instructions, tags, etc.)
- Keep parts organized and identified at all times
- Follow all quality procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area
Required qualifications for the CNC Lathe Machinist: - High school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance.
- Minimum five years of CNC machining experience
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls
- Ability to produce parts with minimum direction
- Ability to inspect own work
