What You'll Do
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic finance professional to join our executive team as the Global Vice President of Finance, a key player in driving the financial strategy of Standex Engraving. The ideal candidate is a strategic finance professional with a proven track record in the manufacturing sector, particularly with experience. The contributions at the divisional level will directly impact the company's overall growth. Demonstrating success in optimizing financial performance could lead to recognition and opportunities to contribute at a higher organizational level within Standex Engraving and across Standex International.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Proactively develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives, including those supporting both commercial and manufacturing activities.
Provide financial guidance to support long-term business planning and decision-making.
Financial Modeling:
Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Analyze historical financial data and market trends to build predictive models for revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators.
Develop scenario-based financial models to assess potential risks and opportunities in a dynamic global environment.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational priorities.
Develop comprehensive financial forecasts to guide business operations.
Act as a partner to the leadership team to develop proactive strategies to achieve budgeted targets.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to the executive team and corporate parent. Given the Company's revenue recognition method (predominantly percentage of completion, over time accounting), work closely with site financial teams to identify and review key assumptions supporting revenue recognition.
Maintain a transparent and robust financial reporting system including identifying and managing improvements to the company's ERP system.
Risk Management:
Proactively identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations for mitigation.
Collaborate with risk management and legal teams to ensure alignment with enterprise risk management objectives.
Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
Implement efficient working capital management practices.
Oversee the financial aspects of the company's capital program, including review of proposals for new equipment and serving as the financial resource to develop return metrics for the modeling of new opportunities, and managing the utilization of the company's allocated capital budget.
Financial Controls:
Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Shared Services Strategy and Governance:
Analyze existing global shared services strategy and identify areas for improvement. Implement changes to enhance productivity, efficiency and quality.
Oversee governance structures, policies, and procedures to ensure effective oversight and management of shared services operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Information Technology Leadership
Partner with Corporate IT on strategies that enhance financial operations, including systems for accounting, reporting, and data analysis.
In collaboration with the Corporate IT department oversee the integration and maintenance of financial software and systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and security.
Partners with Corporate IT group to ensure the IT infrastructure supports financial reporting requirements, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Collaborate with the Corporate IT department to implement technologies that streamline financial processes and improve data integrity.
Partners with Corporate IT department on projects related to infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data management.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and President of business to provide financial insights and guidance.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve shared goals.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the manufacturing or industrial services industries
Proven track record of developing and implementing sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making
