Position Summary:
Automotive and Electrification role that is responsible for maintaining/increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts within tier automotive and OEM. Accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and maintaining effective agreements. Actively supports the Corporation's Win Strategy.
Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains strong client relationships with automotive customers while meeting position objectives. Ensures Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.
Develops and maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of EMG products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits. Remain current with relevant internal and external training and development.
Obtains specifications and approvals at engineering firms and/or major accounts assigned to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provides reports on a regular and/or monthly basis. Keeps management and sales personnel aware of changes affecting the customer's industry as well as engineering and sales. Leads development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.
Assists the divisions in planning strategy to provide products and service required for their assigned accounts. Actively supports cross divisional and other group product with proper referral. Provides product training at the customer level.
Responsible for gathering, interpreting and disseminating forecast market data related to the customers and company marketing programs. Implements strategies to recognize new revenue and margin opportunities.
Builds and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by directing the necessary Parker resources to meet customer needs and solutions.
Manages all ongoing customer, commercial, platform engineering and communication issues in an automotive environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7-10 years' experience in direct sales of industrial technical products; progressive experience in sales or divisional operations.
3-5 years' experience specifically in automotive.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written; PC skills a must.
Past demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets; sustain sales growth in territory; proven track record of achieves plus experience.
Must have multiple and consecutive years of technical sales.
Must be able to read, review and analyze engineered prints.
Program Management experience.
Must have knowledge of APQP in all aspects of an automotive launch.
Must be able to travel overnight 50%-70% of time or as required.
Preferred:
A technical degree preferred.
Proper product and system certification preferred.
Multiple sales award winner (Diamond, President, Inner Circle, etc.)
