A local Builder here in West Michigan is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. This position will be responsible for processing payroll and invoices, managing expense reports, assisting with month-end closing activities, and other administrative duties as assigned.
The Ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and proficiency in accounting practices. Prior accounting experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Process internal payroll billing
- Process invoices accurately and timely
Process credit card charges
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Bank Deposits and Reconciliations
- Process loan payments
- Updating and maintaining vendor lists
- Updating and maintaining needed relevant data in company's Co-Construct software
- Administrative duties as assigned
Experience & Skills Required
- Prior experience in accounts payable
- Knowledge of accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation
- Prior experience in construction accounting preferred
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial information
- Proficient with technology and can learn new software quickly
