Job Summary
This Position Is Responsible For Applying Experience Rating Methodologies And Various Analytical Approaches To Complex New Business And/Or Renewals For Existing Clients. Underwriter Demonstrates Dynamic Levels Of Expertise In Several Areas Including Product, Contractual/Regulatory, And Project Initiatives While Maintaining A High Degree Of Customer Focus.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor degree and 3 years of Group Underwriting experience OR 7 years of insurance industry experience.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Negotiation skills for handling appeals on new business rate offers and renewal actions.
Independent judgment and problem resolution skills.
Organizational and analytical skills.
Math aptitude.
Customer service skills.
PC proficiency to include EXCEL.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Microsoft Office proficiencies (ACCESS, WORD AND POWERPOINT)
