We are looking for a dynamic Master Scheduler to join our team at our Manufacturing Operations Headquarters located in Monroe, MI. This position will report to the Director of Operations and be a member of the Monroe Production Leadership Team that is expected to drive world class performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The position performs planning and scheduling functions involved with optimizing operations and supporting a customer first mentality. Responsible for releasing and measuring performance to schedule, assisting plant leadership in schedule decision making, establishing build plans, and leads overall capacity analysis.
Key Responsibilities: (Other duties as assigned)
- Collaborate with the sales team managing the forecast to meet or exceed the budgeted sales plan, including:
- Analyzing weekly sales trends and suggesting/implementing changes to the sales plan to support those trends
- Ensure all sales promotions are produced and in place prior to the sale
- Reconcile unsold sales forecast on a timely basis to ensure proper inventory levels
- Analyze, understand, and anticipate customer needs, ensuring that they are reflected in production activities.
- Review and act upon shortages, internally and from external suppliers, including intercompany needs.
- Prepare the Sales & Operations Planning on a monthly basis in order to obtain proper volume levels and optimize resources (staffing, machines, materials and supplier readiness and capacity).
- Implement and drive the Master Production Schedule to ensure a level production plan
- Manage inventory levels and safety stock, communicating current inventory levels and status with all stakeholders
- Utilize lean methods to continuously improve the customer experience with balancing production optimization and inventory levels
- Collaborate with the operations team and procurement to ensure high customer service levels
- Provide leadership and problem solving to meet customer demand
- Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2 years in a leadership role, preferred
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years SCM experience
- Should possess strong trouble shooting and analytical skills
- ERP experience (Visual or other similar system) preferred
- APICS certification a plus
- Demonstrated process improvement through Lean Systems and Team Problem Solving
- Experience working with diverse teams in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others to meet objectives
