Description:
Network Security Analyst supporting security infrastructure including firewalls, Web filter, IPS, Advanced threat prevention, DLP and CASB.
POSITION PURPOSE
Provides technical experience and proficiency skills to perform network security device support, administration, and troubleshooting. Possesses an understanding and awareness of network security concerns and applies key concepts for mitigation of threats and vulnerability exposures. Effectively communicates with clients, peers, management, and vendors. Applies technical knowledge, skills, and concepts to resolve network security related issues across the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices and decisions.
Provides day-to-day proactive system management, monitoring, support, troubleshooting, and resolution of all network security issues within the enterprise network. Seeks out support from peers to resolve issues requiring advanced knowledge and skill set.
Responds to Resolution Center helpdesk issues and provides first level triage and support for all service groups with network security dependencies, such as DMZ and Internet services, VPN services and firewall services.
Applies technical experience and troubleshooting techniques using various methods to detect and resolve local and enterprise level network security issues.
Provides input to project and time-line development and assigned project tasks using best practice approach.
Continuous self-development and expertise for implementing network security solutions adhering to best approach implementation plans.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree with three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in infrastructure environments performing network security administration duties using hardware and software solutions for LANs and WANs with current technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess experience in administration and VPN management using current technology. CheckPoint and Cisco are preferred.
Must possess knowledge and understanding of network addressing, including IP addressing and IP subnet calculation.
4. Related experience with intrusion prevention systems and monitoring, including event correlation using a Security Information Event Management system (SIEM) is a plus.
5. Must possess experience in creating technical documentation, network diagrams, and job-aids with Micro-Soft applications Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated leadership qualities to help guide others towards appropriate network security solutions.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and business needs with demonstrated ability to prioritize projects & work load.
Must be able to set and organize own work priorities, and adapt to them as they change frequently.
Certification designation is a plus. (Security+, CCNA or CCSA).
Must be team oriented, supportive, and committed to excellence and possess high level of initiative and self-motivation with demonstrated work ethic.
