Team Lead RN - Operating Room (CVOR / ENT Service Lines)coordinates activities of staff in the operating room, and provides oversight for front line staff in collaboration with O.R. leadership. Serves as liaison between surgeon, operating room staff, and management. Acts as resource for questions or issues related to procedures or surgeon preference. Coordinates day-to-day operational needs by setting priorities, planning for and addressing staffing needs, and coordinating work across other teams as needed. Provides guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members and provides input in employment decisions; performance issues and performance reviews. May serve in various clinical nursing roles (i.e., direct care nurse, charge nurse, etc.).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant acute care nursing
LICENSURES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
A member of AORN organization
Actively participates in the O.R. Shared Governance Council or Committee
