Description
We are searching for a highly skilled Controller to oversee the financial activities of our subcontracting firm in the construction industry. The Controller will work collaboratively with project managers and leadership to accurately compile and analyze financial data, develop financial strategies, report financial information, and make informed decisions for business growth. The ideal Controller candidate will have previous construction industry experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and manage all aspects of the company's financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job costing, financial projections, and overall cash flow.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and provide financial outlook reports.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding financial functions and practices.
Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal financial controls and procedures.
Represent the company to partners, financial institutions, auditors, public officials and in other financial dealings.

Requirements
Possess a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
Skills in Job Costing and Sage 100 software is a plus
Proven ability to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Strong attention to detail and an ability to spot numerical errors
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
