Description We are actively seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry, based in DEXTER, Michigan, 48130-1564, United States. In this role, you will handle a range of tasks focused on maintaining customer accounts and managing receivables. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Accurately process customer credit applications
Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes
Conduct regular reviews of customer accounts and take necessary action
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to accounts receivable
Collaborate with other team members to reconcile accounts receivable
Generate monthly billing statements based on the general ledger
Create and submit invoices to customers according to company practices
Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts
Regularly report on the status of customer accounts
Assist in maintaining accurate customer credit records
Utilize software systems such as Plex Manufacturing ERP for various tasks
Apply skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Post Payments, Collections, Reconcile Account, and Aging Reports in daily tasks. Requirements - Must have at least 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
Familiarity with Plex Manufacturing ERP is essential.
Experience in Post Payments and Collections is a must.
Ability to Reconcile Accounts accurately and efficiently.
Experience in preparing and analyzing Aging Reports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
