As a Senior Fire Alarm Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-notch service to our clients, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence.
You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor & Matrix manager to a Project Manager for new installs, and you'll support our clients in the Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids & Lansing areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission Honeywell fire alarm systems according to specifications and industry standards
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations
Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems, including troubleshooting electronic components and replacing faulty parts
Perform regular testing and inspections of fire alarm systems to verify their proper functioning and compliance with safety standards
Provide technical support to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance on system usage
Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Complete service reports and documentation in a timely manner
Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and customer support teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and support to clients
Acquire security and other clearances as required by customer
YOU MUST HAVE
High School Diploma or equivalent
4+ years of experience working within a commercial construction or commercial field service environment
NICET I, (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies)
Ability to program Fire Alarm panels, troubleshoot, conduct repairs, and work independently
Ability to travel at least an hour within the desired work area
Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell (car provided)
