The Default Claims and Loss Analysis Business Analysts function as an expert resource which consults with the business, designs solutions, and ensures the timely implementation of business enabling technology. Responsible for gathering, designing and documenting details for success. Deeply involved throughout the solution development lifecycle and is expected to take personal responsibility of ownership for delivery and result. Provide analysis, definition and direction in support of the project activities. Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $55,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr.
What you'll do:
Ability to pull data from multiple databases, analyze, compile and create reports.
Using a strong background of Default MI Claims and/or Loss Analysis identify gaps, trends and build data for internal teams, executives as well as operational oversight.
Learn all aspects of the business process, key performance drivers, and operational report metrics.
Gain expert knowledge of the operational systems and utilization within the business process.
Act as the primary contact for technology, reporting and process related analysis.
Assist with scope management, change management and solution definition.
Create functional specifications for new or modified systems and processes.
Recommend system improvements.
Gather and document business requirements, formulate use cases, participate in solution design.
Track requirements, provide status and ensure quality of solution throughout the project.
Participate in project communications, training materials, and business procedures/documentation.
Responsible for user acceptance testing, may be responsible for management and completion of quality assurance testing.
Conceptualize and design dashboards and reports that are representative of the business unit's productivity.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and program/project management
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Project
Strong verbal and communication skills and experience with internal/external customer facing responsibilities.
Ability to work in a Project environment and have awareness of the application development lifecycle.
Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impact, etc., and/or to make formal presentations
Ability to make decisions that have significant impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside the immediate work unit
What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree systems or equivalent professional work experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working independently on large and complex projects that built or enhanced production systems.
Experience working across multiple functions in Loan Servicing preferred
Experience with Cloud Claims and Tempo preferred
Ability to create pivot tables and perform v-look ups
Government product knowledge a plus
