The Parts Runner distributes materials and correspondence throughout the entire campus and to off-site locations, by walking and/or driving company vehicles. This position is required to use our existing system to scan barcodes on all items they handle, pick up or deliver. In addition, the Parts Runner may be required to assist with a variety of other CSR/Warehouse duties.
Essential Job Functions
1. Picks up, delivers and routes items and correspondence to the appropriate team members in all of the Duncan Aviation facilities. Operates company vehicles for on campus pick up and delivery of materials. Prior to delivery, verifies accuracy of part's information (i.e. quantities, part numbers, lot or serial numbers, part description, condition code, expiration date, etc.). Scans the barcodes to document the delivery for speed and accuracy using our internal Radio Frequency (RF) System.
2. Assists with various warehouse duties (i.e. incoming parts' inspections, pulling orders, packaging shipments, etc.) according to Duncan Aviation approved procedures.
3. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Job Specific Requirements
Licenses/Certificates: Duncan Aviation-trained Forklift Certification; Shipping & Receiving Auditor designation eligible. Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
Physical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs., occasionally 100 lbs.; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting; reads small print
Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
Education and Experience
High School graduate or equivalent required
Previous parts runner or warehouse experience preferred
