Little Learners Childcare Center LLC is hiring Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers for immediate openings in our Pre-K, Preschool, Early Preschool, Toddler and Infant classrooms. We are a fast-growing, family owned and operated, childcare center specializing in providing early education for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We have learning centers in multiple areas including Washington Township, Lapeer and Metamora with more locations coming soon! As we continue to expand, we are looking for energetic, dependable individuals with a strong desire to teach our little learners and make a difference every day. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachers are responsible for providing structured program activities following a play-based curriculum that contributes to the development of each child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs. An important part of being an Early Childhood Educator is establishing a bond with the child and families which will enable the children to learn in a safe, secure environment as they explore the world around them. The teachers at Little Learners act as a role model for the children during classroom participation in small and large groups along with serving family style meals. Must be willing to help with potty training or diaper changes, document children’s progress and maintain cleanliness of classroom, while working cooperatively and effectively with other staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Assistant Teachers: Prior childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train! CDA, Degree or Courses Completed in Early Childhood Education are a plus, but not required
- Lead Teachers: Educational requirements are Minimum 12 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or child related field with 960 hours of experience and 3 semester hours of Infant/Toddler development and care practices
- CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain/ recertify
- Basic computer skills to assist with projects and daily logging of child’s information
- Ability to engage in physical activity and lift up to 30lbs. when needed
- Familiar with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Meet background check requirements with fingerprint clearance
- Provide negative TB test results prior to starting position
- Strong communication and instructional skills
- Dependable and flexible with a strong work ethic
- Positive and patient demeanor
