Responsibilities: * Assist in preparation of signal design and maintenance of traffic plans. * Perform signal design plans to include: Traffic Signals, Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon, Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB), Pedestrian signals, Push buttons. * Prepare plans for construction, including signal details, pavement markings, specifications and special provisions for construction. * Develop Maintenance of Traffic Plans (MOT) for various design projects. * Leading designated projects and reporting progress to senior staff * Coordinate work with other engineers, CAD designers, and others who assist in specific assignments as needed. * Attend field meetings with review agencies and clients. Occasional travel for field work is required; Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree required; * 1 - 4 years of related experience required; * FE/EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months * Familiarity with Michigan (County, City, State) permitting; * Detail oriented and self-starter; * Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment; * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; * Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation * Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
