This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day treasury operations, including cash management and applications, hedging, and factoring. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal treasury operations, support financial decision-making, and contribute to the company's financial health and growth. The position is based in Northville, MI and reports directly to the Performance Solutions CFO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations, including inventory reporting, AP, AR, cash flow forecasting, liquidity management.
Review and define hedging & risk strategy.
Manage balance sheet forecasting by working with regions and plants.
Will be the business unit lead for all cash initiatives and M&A activities,
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in day-to-day conduct and supervision of cash management activities.
Lead, mentor, and develop the business unit and finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Drive the development and optimization of systems and tools for finance management and balance sheet forecasting.
Analyze financial market trends to identify risks and opportunities related to foreign exchange, interest rates, and commodities.
Prepare and present treasury reports to senior management and the board of directors.
Collaborate with other departments to support company-wide finance initiatives and projects.
Play a key role in strategic planning and financial analysis.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA) preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within a similar industry.
10+ year experience in manufacturing finance operation
Exposure to various working capital management tools & instruments like, letter of credits, short-term financing, factoring, etc.
Strong understanding of financial instruments, banking regulations, and complex financial management.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing treasury operations strategies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience with consolidation software
Skills
Proficiency in finance management systems and advanced Excel skills.
Experience in international treasury operations and currency risk management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
