Join our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team and you'll directly support and promote our brand and reputation. Through internal and external communications, you'll provide a wide range of communications services to internal and external audiences. These include firmleaders, our current and future employees, alumni, the media and the communities within which we operate.
The opportunity
You'll have the opportunity to develop and execute strategic communications efforts used to inform and motivate various internal and/or external audiences on behalf of the respective service line, industry segment, functional practice, geographical area, or other focus area in the Americas. You'll create and implement a broad range of communication deliverables across multiple channels, allocate appropriate resources, manage deliverable timelines, measure effort success, while working in conjunction with the communications leader and senior leadership. The subject matter of these communications will cover a broad spectrum, ranging from markets and industry insight, to talent initiatives and people programs aimed at strengthening the firm culture, to public relations.
Your key responsibilities
You'll be expected to create, develop and manage scope and schedule for moderate to complex communications projects for both internal and external audiences. You'll plan and assign resources to associated tasks and deliverables as appropriate and manage resources and tasks based on project plans. You'll collaborate with the communications leader to develop plans designed to effectively communicatestrategic objectives and initiatives and present complex ideas and anticipate potential objections. You'll leverage experience, insight and creativity to influence others to consider innovative solutions. You'll anticipate and communicate ramifications of decisions and issues to project stakeholders and present alternatives when obstacles and objectives arise.

Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal project stakeholders, manage project stakeholders' expectations and build trust with journalists and other media outlets
Adept at creating strategic, targeted and impactful communications for leadership to inform, inspire and motivate various internal and external audiences
Ability to draft, obtain approval for and execute messaging through a variety of channels including webcasts, podcasts, videos, social media, newsletters, meetings, presentations, emails, daily news, , intranet, and thought leadership
Possess relevant market insight respective to your function and a comfort level working across service lines, industries, function areas and client groups
Strong understanding of environmental factors affecting the firm, the practice and our markets
To qualify for the role, you must have
Seven-plus years of experience; communications experience is required
Bachelor's degree with a communications major or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentations) as well as listening and interpretation skills
Must be able to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise and easily digestible manner for broad audiences
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, including the development of others
Possesses poise and confidence to professionally interact with all levels of leadership
Strong project and time management skills
Ideally, you'll also have
Ability to team in order to understand the goals and objectives of leadership as determined from discussions with the respective functional practice/internal clients' network and synthesize messages (client service, operations, strategy, talent and area management)
Skills to leverage available tools and technology to measure impact of communication initiatives
Demonstrated ability to analyze measurement data to effectively advise leadership and ensure communications strategy evolves as needed
Ability to be recognized for your communications knowledge, insight and experience within and outside of business unit
Ability to act as a strategic communications consultant with stakeholders when key business issues are discussed
Ability to lead a team and project-manage direct activities

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $180,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,600 to $204,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
