The Database Administrator is responsible for configurating, maintaining, monitoring, and implementing code for the delivery center's Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Job Description
We are looking for an Azure SQL Server Database Administrator to be responsible for configurating, maintaining, monitoring, and implementing code for the delivery center's Microsoft SQL Server databases. This position will be full-time and remote.
What You'll Do
The Database Administrator is responsible for configurating, maintaining, monitoring, and implementing code for the delivery center's Microsoft SQL Server databases
The DBA will ensure the availability of the assigned databases and provide support for optimizing database performance as well as providing support to streamline database release activities
Manage and monitor SQL Server databases
Monitor the health and performance of the database
Monitor, enhance, and automate routine processes
Configure and maintain SQL Server database processes
Collaborate with the application development team in data architecture and database design
Identify and resolve database issues
Provide support to application development teams through application performance reviews and enhancement suggestions
Proactively identify enhancements to streamline database processes and procedures supporting the goals of the organization
Support application development teams through database enhancement and code deployments
Provide 24x7 support for critical production databases
What You'll Need
?Experience/Education Required:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other computer related role.
5 years experience as a MS SQL Server Database Administrator
3 years experience in performance tuning
3 years experience with backup and restore functionality
Good organization, time management, and communication skills
Strong team player
Experience Preferred
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
