Summary of Position: | The Department of Manufacturing Engineering Technology invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. Primary responsibilities include: preparing and delivering courses utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met; and delivering courses in both a classroom and an online format. Additionally, advising students, internship coordination, recruiting students, developing industry relationships, developing curriculum, and serving on various committees within the university. Teaching at regional satellite campuses may also be required, as well as working with student organizations.
The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2023 at the earliest and January of 2024 at the latest. | |

Required Education: | 1. Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline OR 2. Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or related discipline OR 3. BS Engineering or Engineering Technology and MS Engineering or Engineering Technology and three years hands-on experience in Manufacturing OR 4. BS Engineering or Engineering Technology and MS (any) and six years hands-on experience in Manufacturing OR 5. BS Engineering or Engineering Technology and 12 years hands-on experience in Manufacturing and a subject matter expert in an area relevant to Manufacturing. | |

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | Doctorate degree in manufacturing engineering or a related discipline. Involvement in product development, or project activities with companies, and/or related industries. | |
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | Delivering courses in both a classroom and an on-line format. Preparing and delivering courses utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met. Working with student organizations.
Reports to the Director of the School of Design and Manufacturing through the Program Coordinator. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising students, orientation and registration of students, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty members may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment. Any other duties within the position classification area.
