Your Role
As a Gensler Retail Travel Consultant, your mission is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and a deep understanding of our clients' business models. You'll produce welcoming, functional, and efficient retail automotive sales and service environments that truly represent our clients' brands.
With exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative retail concepts, you'll create engaging showrooms and efficient service areas that adapt to new standards like touchless technology and home delivery services. Your innovative concepts will enhance the customer experience and streamline the purchasing process.

What You Will Do
Perform technical design tasks including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, and managing brand standards documentation
Coordinate with clients, retailers, team members, and internal production teams for full project documentation
Facilitate communication between the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants
Conduct site visits and handle submittals, substitution requests, and RFIs during construction
Provide design support and documentation throughout the execution of design concepts
Collaborate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design required
10+ years of architecture or design experience required
Experience within the automotive retail industry preferred
Architectural licensure preferred
Strong background in retail architecture and design, particularly in fast-paced environments and varying scales
Experience designing retail automotive sales and service facilities is a plus
Proficiency in Revit required
Knowledge of Rhino is a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and graphic presentation skills
Ability to travel 60% of the time within the US and Canada
Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, retailers, and other key constituents
