At Bavarian Inn Restaurant, we’re looking for a dedicated Receiving and Inventory Coordinator who excels at both managing physical inventory and handling crucial data entry tasks. You’ll split your time between actively receiving and organizing stock and performing essential administrative tasks like data entry and invoice processing. Your efforts will ensure our team always has the right items in the right place, helping us deliver exceptional experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving Inventory: Unload and inspect incoming deliveries from suppliers. Verify quantities and conditions against invoices or delivery statements. Document and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Inventory Management: Store received items in the appropriate locations, such as refrigerators, freezers, or storage areas. Rotate stock regularly to ensure freshness and proper stock levels. Conduct weekend inventory checks and submit orders to managers as needed.
- Product Integration: Ensure new products are properly added to our inventory system, including updating records and merging with existing items. Build and maintain recipe files using Marketman software.
- Invoice Processing: Scan and code invoices accurately. Maintain detailed records for financial tracking and reporting.
- Storage Area Maintenance: Keep storage areas, including basements and stock rooms, clean and well-organized. Regularly update the “Item Index” to reflect accurate row and shelf locations. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Security and Safety: Safeguard the integrity of all inventory by maintaining proper security and handling protocols. Protect perishable goods from loss, damage, or spoilage.
- Deliveries: Occasionally handle local deliveries and pick up items from area suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in receiving, inventory management, or a related field is a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., MarketMan). Accurate and efficient computer-based data entry abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for accurate data entry and vendor/guest interactions.
- Driving: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for delivery tasks. (Chauffeur license must be acquired within 30 days of employment.)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move various items continuously during shift (50+ pounds); ability to stand/walk for duration of 8+ hour shift
