Responsible for overseeing the Company's accounting functions worldwide. This includes implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that ensure company assets are safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with appropriate financial policies.The CFO is an integral member of the leadership team. The position oversees all facets of accounting operations, including the monthly close cycle, internal and external financial reporting, internal controls and policy development. Pinkerton seeks a leader who is ready to guide and develop the accounting team to improve internal processes that are critical for a more effective and efficient workflow. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (in office/remote) located in Ann Arbor, MI only.
Essential Functions:
Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
Lead the company's global accounting and finance functions across all areas of responsibility.
Provide expert and strategic guidance on all matters impacting the company's financials and drive day-to-day management of accounting resources.
Ability to prepare and present to the parent company Global Executive leadership team at senior financial meetings effectively.
Coordinate work, related to both internal and external audits, in the periodic review of the company financial records.
Implement agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings.
Interpret, develop, implement, and monitor accounting policies, processes, and procedures. Provide counsel on accounting-related issues, disclosure obligations related to business transactions, and financial statements.
Collaborate with other stakeholders including leadership team, Vice Presidents, and Managing Directors to analyze and interpret financial and operating data including performance benchmark reporting, cost analyses, market niche reporting, profitability analyses, performance assessments, contract pricing analyses, wage analyses, and other reporting as required.
Oversee the preparation of regulatory reports and filings required for submission to domestic and global federal, state, and provincial agencies.
Oversee all treasury functions including, daily cash management, cash forecasts, accounts payable, payroll and accounts receivables.
Lead accounting process improvements and change initiatives, streamlining processes, developing metrics, and creating efficiencies within the department.
Provide technical accounting GAAP/IFRS guidance and support to all company entities which may include involvement in due diligence and other activities surrounding acquisitions/dispositions.
Ability to contribute and support company's strategic direction.
Advise management of any areas of potential risk and provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) in Finance, Accounting, or related field with at least 10-15 years' finance/accounting experience and training in a global organization. CPA/CMA a definite plus. Competencies:
Advanced accounting skills and strong technical accounting background with global experience.
Expert financial and analytical skills across multiple areas of responsibility including all GAAP, IFRS, and tax matters as well as statutory reporting; familiarity with SOC standards.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/D365 ERP system preferred.
Able to think beyond the financial implications to business decisions, while considering overall strategies and key operational issues.
Heavy transactional environment experience, preferred.
Experienced in scaling an organization, preferred.
Able to lead and direct a high performing team.
Various regulatory filing and other compliance procedures experience.
Able to learn and apply accounting guidance to new and varied types of transitions.
Solid verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
Attentive to detail and accuracy.
