The Level 2 Maintenance Technician works independently, with engineering and other maintenance/plant personnel to perform preventative and routine maintenance tasks. The technician will troubleshoot equipment issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks are performed while supporting the safety policies, financial goals, and objectives of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, coating equipment, slitters, compressed air systems, pumps and facilities equipment/infrastructure
Provide general preventative maintenance of HVAC systems equipment (non-coolant applications)
Provide general electrical repair/maintenance and installation electronic controls/equipment
Perform electrical shutdown/startup of low to medium voltage equipment
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on all production and facilities equipment
Participate in plant safety and continuous improvement programs
Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed
Purchase replacement and repair parts to rebuild/repair equipment in a timely manner within budgetary constraints.

High school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education in HVAC, electronics or industrial mechanics preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment working with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics troubleshooting and repair. Experience in the converting or printing industries a plus.
Ability to utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the installation, repair, modification and maintenance of equipment
