Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA's core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in these roles may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

Carefully read below detailed snapshots of different sub-departments within our vast STEM departments to see where you would be best suited. Not all sub-departments are listed:
- Chassis/Vocational - Focused on powertrain, dynamics, architecture, braking and pneumatic systems, the Chassis team encompasses many different vehicle platforms including diesel, battery electric, autonomous, and other emerging vehicle platforms.
- Cab - Our Cab team specializes in the engineering of the entire vehicle, interior and exterior systems, design, and wiring.
- PVE - Product Validation Engineering (PVE) is focused on vehicle builds, testing and validation, and autonomous validation, operations, vehicle analysis, mechatronics vehicle integration, durability, reliability testing, and business operations.
- Autonomous - The Autonomous team focuses on architecture, diagnostics, and automated system designs. In addition, this team works on Powernet system engineering, powertrain system design and development, steering and braking, hardware integration, and testing.
- Compliance - The Compliance team focuses on product safety, safety and emissions recalls, TCMS, TREAD, and compliance safety processes, as well as advanced safety systems and autonomous driving. The team also works on emissions certifications and compliance.
- Engineering Platform Management - Our EPM team focuses on heavy duty and on highway management, medium duty and vocational management, engineering operations, cost innovation, fuel efficiency and power train concepts.
- Advanced Engineering - Advanced Engineering works on energy management, safety systems, and vehicle systems. This team is responsible for the SuperTruck program.
- Product Engineering Software & Electronics - The TTS team is focused on research, development, and production of future technologies for drivetrain (combustion engine, battery, and fuel cell). TTS is also responsible for vehicle software and electronics.
- Mechatronics - The mechatronics team is responsible for the body, eMobility group, instrumentation and telematics. The team focuses on mechatronics autonomous integration, feature development, cybersecurity, functional safety and diagnostics, as well as integration and hardware. Lastly, our mechatronics team focuses on implementation and software maturity and release management.
- Data Science - Data plays a pivotal role here at DTNA. Our teams leverage comprehensive data analysis to extract insights, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations that contribute to the overall strategy of their departments. These professionals work collaboratively to drive efficiency, optimize processes, and enhance the understanding of our market and customer needs.
- Connectivity Service Group - CSG is one of the most advanced and innovative teams within Daimler Truck. We work globally to create digital and connected products and services that enhance our customers experience with our vehicles. We deliver insights and digital solutions to make our customers business safer and more efficient by combining the power of the backend cloud and connecting it with our onboard vehicle capabilities. Through online portals, data enriched vehicles applications, and more we connect all who keep the world moving.
- Information Technology - This department has several different focuses and manages and supports a range of systems and services, cloud platforms, network management, hardware and software maintenance, user support, and more. Anyone interested in areas of IT should consider applying.
