Description
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
In this Field Service Engineer Apprenticeship role, you will work with our in-house and field-based engineering teams to train in the technical skill set of refurbishing, installing, repairing, and maintaining molecular imaging equipment including PET, PET/CT, CT, SPECT, and SPECT/CT. This engineering apprenticeship will involve dedicated training on your journey to becoming a skilled Field Service Engineer in the healthcare industry and to set you up for a successful career with TTG Imaging Solutions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be training with our team of in house and field service engineers to learn all aspects of servicing Molecular Imaging Equipment in both a warehouse working on refurbishing projects and a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, and maintains our equipment at various customer sites.
Equipment includes PET, PET/CT, CT and the Nuclear Medicine Modalities such as SPECT and SPECT/CT
Work with your Mentor/Trainer in the field to:
Routinely check on customer base for client satisfaction, unresolved issues, providing prompt and courteous service and support at all times.
Effectively communicate with customers, team members and management regularly; provide customer, competitive and sales lead information to the appropriate account manager.
Provide real-time and follow-up customer support, accurate resolutions; evaluate the customer issue, diagnose the problem, create a repair strategy then perform and verify the repair, include customer training, introducing the customer to basic features and functions of the instrument and software.
Respond alongside your trainer to service issues within one hour and provide on-site response within 24 hours.
Manage, prioritize and schedule all work to be performed to satisfy internal and external customer demands.
Assist system installations using technical abilities and independent judgment during evaluations, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, refurbishing, routine maintenance and validation.
Log and complete reports detailing service calls, indicating call types (down vs routine), and on-site visits including services completed, recommended parts for next service visit, and modifications to improve or update current design.
Identify in-good-condition versus failing parts that require service.
Comply with all applicable regulatory guidelines in regards to ISO Certification and process and procedure protocols are followed according to company standards.
Maintain performance standards by meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as indicated on your performance plan.
Complete and maintain training and certification for serviced systems.
Work with your Mentor/Trainer in the Warehouse to:
Assist with prioritizing and processing refurbishment projects.
Research, learn and adapt to new and different techniques of plastic, fiberglass, and metal refurbishment.
Learn to perform all repairs to imaging devices and parts, including soldering and welding.
Concise and timely documentation of repair performed and then project ticket closed in company CRM system, following and meeting QA, ISO and FDA reporting standards and needs.
Assist warehouse team with the receiving of incoming systems.
Contribute to cleanliness and organization of warehouse.
Adhere to Quality Management Procedures (QMI) and Work Instructions (WI) as set by the Quality Management Systems (QMS) both at client sites and in the warehouse.
Participate in continued training programs and courses as assigned by management.
Perform other duties as determined by management.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed at our warehouse, hospitals, clinics, and physician offices.
Employee must be able to work in confined areas.
Drive to and from facilities in all weather situations.
Travel may be extensive.
Schedule may be unpredictable.
OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE:
Work environment may involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and loud noises.
Performance of job duties has a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens or other infectious materials that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree in electronics or engineering discipline, and/or military equivalent training. (BMET)
Previous experience with molecular imaging equipment: PET, PET/CT. CT, SPECT, and SPECT/CT is advantageous, but not required.
