If you're passionate about mentoring and building cutting-edge Cloud solutions with (IaC) and (CaC), this role is for you!
**US Citizenship requirements- as this role supports services provided to the federal government and/or a federal government contractor, proof will be required to verify US citizenship status at time of hire.**
The Adoption and Deployment team plays a crucial role in empowering application owners through a peer programming approach. You'll guide them in utilizing our automation tools to efficiently deploy and maintain their applications in the cloud. Your expertise will be key in advancing Alight's capabilities on the Alight Cloud platform, ensuring seamless integration and optimized performance.
We leverage Terraform and Ansible, combined with our innovative "Alight Tooling" for automated, secure infrastructure provisioning. You'll craft IaC and CaC solutions, empowering teams across the company to streamline their processes. Plus, you'll get to share your expertise by training others to use these tools.
Responsibilities:
Creating and implementing Cloud-centric IaC solutions with Terraform in adherence to best practices and guidelines.
Developing Ansible playbooks and collections as CaC to manage application deployments and configurations.
Developing and supporting the adoption of cloud managed and serverless services across the company.
Developing and delivering training on the use of the Cloud Tooling.
Analyzing usage and adoption of internally developed Cloud tooling by internal customers.
Identifying, documenting, and planning improvements to Cloud tooling products.
Ensuring compliance with company's IT infrastructure security protocols and best practice.
Performing other duties assigned or required to meet the business need.
Requirements:
Possess a background in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Possess extensive experience in infrastructure management within AWS.
Possess a solid foundation in writing Terraform code to deploy and maintain large infrastructure solutions gained through at least 2 years of experience.
Have 2+ years of experience deploying and configuring applications and systems with Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform.
Be able to develop and deliver technical training materials and step-by-step labs or tutorials for end-users.
Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge language gaps between development teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
Be able to work in an Agile environment with SCRUM or Kanban methodologies.
Be able to work in an ITIL/ITSM environment with ServiceNow.
