Responsible for purchase order entries, change orders, invoice reconciliation, price checks, market research, report preparation and systems data maintenance.
Understand strategic procurement and supply chain concepts such as materials requirements planning, sourcing, requests for quotations, commodity management, inventory management, transportation planning, consignment, customs and border crossing requirements, returns management, and subcontracting
Process requisitions and purchase orders
Submit documents such as Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quote (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP) to selected suppliers and coordinate responses
Communicate effectively with internal and external vendors and customers
Support Accounting in matching invoices and clearing discrepancies
Coordinate delivery of products to Dart locations
Maintain accurate data in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Facilitate and communicate order issue resolutions with departments and suppliers
Work with Dart Traffic and suppliers on any shipping or customs clearance issues
Assist in consignment and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) reconciliation of materials with suppliers and Dart locations
Collect and monitor supplier volume and spend data
Complete weekly and monthly purchase order and shipment reports
Perform inventory reconciliation
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
Requires one of the following:
Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in Business, or Supply Chain preferred
Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create and generate spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)
Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities
Strong verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate, persuade and influence decision making
Self-starter
Ability to work independently
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Procurement experience in a multi-plant environment
Knowledge of production planning and purchase order placement
SAP experience
Ability to calculate, analyze, and interpret mathematical and statistical information such as percent differences, ratios, median, mean, weighted average, regression, etc.
