¨ Fully participating in the Quality Management System, including but not limited to completing paperwork, traceability, dimensional inspections required for a first article and a final from a quality coach to complete the audit sheet.
¨ Complying with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements including 10CFR50 (Nuclear Regulatory Requirements), NN 801 (Nuclear Security, Safety Culture, Fraud and Falsification, and others as determined necessary.
¨ Know the importance of the different grades of materials and verification of material for each order.
¨ Knowing how to perform all quality checks.
¨ Comparing blue prints to router to ensure material is being produced according to customer specifications. If discrepancy exists, notify in accordance with procedure.
¨ Translating blue prints into machine set-up.
¨ Verifying dimensions, characteristics, and conformity of work pieces to ensure parts are in spec.
¨ Positioning and securing work pieces in holding devices as necessary.
¨ Determining size, shape, and grade of tooling to use.
¨ Determining feed rate, grinding speed, and depths of cuts necessary to prepare work pieces
¨ Inspecting product to ensure all specs are met prior to moving to next operation
¨ Be able to do first article of inspections and finals.
¨ CNC programming including writing programs to manufacture parts as outlined on prints and routers.
¨ Ability to optimize existing CNC programs.to reduce run time, improve efficiency and improve quality.
¨ Understanding of GD&T
¨ Capable of training and coaching operators
¨ Capable of leading and being accountable for group performance.
¨ Skill level can perform any type of setup within the area of assignment.
¨ Can operate the CMM
