Responsible for working with the Sales Team (Contract Administration, Key Account Managers, Program Managers, etc) to develop, validate, and manage the demand that drives our MRP system.This person will evaluate all incoming demand, and work with all functions to understand, react and plan to the demand signal.This person may be assigned OEM demand, aftermarket demand, or both - and will work with various teams/functions to coordinate demand changes and forecasting.As a portion of this role, there may be some responsibilities for customer/order management.This person will directly interact with the SIOP Manager for the division as it relates to demand planning.
As our backlog grows, this role will need to respond quickly to customer demand requests, appropriately communicate with the Contract Administrators to understand and respond to those requests and balance a dynamic environment of inputs to yield as stable of a demand signal as possible into the organization.Primary functions include:
*Participate in the company wide SIOP process.
*Work with management, inventory, supply chain and sales teams in demand planning operations.
*Work with customers to assist in level-loading or re-scheduling demand.
*Identify demand forecast risks and elevate for mitigation.
*Develop and manage a forecast accuracy metric.
*Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner.
*Develop and mentor others on demand planning.
*Monitor and predict sales and earnings performance based on sales mix.
*Validate forecasts are sufficient (without significant excess) to meet customer demand when orders placed inside of lead time.
*Communicate manufacturing lead time changes to Contract Administrators
*Provide analytical/reporting/presentation support for demand and other related metrics and data
*Other responsibilities as assigned.
In order to stay current and aligned with how our customers order product, this individual may be assigned some responsibilities in contract administration including order management, order entry, customer service, portal management, and other similar tasks.
Utilizes lean principles to develop and implement standard work.
Bachelor's degree (BA) in Business Administration or Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
*Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically required through two or moreyearsofexperienceina planning function within a manufacturing environment, or similar.
*Minimum two years experience with a SIOP process or SIOP tools, or demand planning/management.
*Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data reporting tools.
*Experience managing results and metrics.
*Excellent math and quantitative reasoning skills.
*Strong oral communication and presentation skills.
*Strong problem-solving capabilities.
*Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with effective planning and communication skills.
*Ability to create, manipulate and interpret large data files.Experience with Power BI is preferred.
*Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
*Abilityto workwithingeneralworkobjectives regardingprojectsandteamgoals.
*Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, and topmanagement, and drive consensus.
*Experience in lean process design, including demonstrated knowledge of continuous flow concepts, standard work development, and value stream mapping in a manufacturing environment is a strong preference.
