Temporary Guest Service Attendant

- Responsible for cleaning and maintain all rooms, suites including kitchen areas (if applicable) and indoor common areas of casino lobby, restrooms, spa/salon, elevators and other areas to ensure guest comfort, safety and satisfaction.
- Vacuum and sweep floors
- Dust, mopping and pick up trash
- Change linens and make beds
- Replenish linens and towels
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms
- Wash windows
- Support laundry room operations, washing, drying and folding linens
- Report issues regarding guest’s rooms noted during service or reported by guest
- Ensures that equipment in guestrooms are operational
- Executes daily cleaning projects
- Collects/secures lost and found articles
- Restocks housekeeping cart daily
- Resolves guest issues
- Clean public restrooms, ashtrays, glass surfaces, and slot machines
- Set up, clean up and maintenance of coffee/drink areas, breakfast and snack areas
Varied Working Hours:
- Must be available Sunday – Saturday & all holidays
- 7:00am – 6:00pm (AM and PM) or as scheduled
Three (3) months prior housekeeping experience at a hotel, resort, or country club or other commercial cleaning experience. Employer may substitute other work experience. English is required.
On-the-job training is provided.
Wage: Employer will pay $15.88 per hour which is equal to the prevailing wage. Overtime is available and guaranteed at no less than $23.82 per hour. All wages will be paid bi-weekly.
Schedule: 35 hours per week minimum. Work schedule can vary and can include evening and weekend hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Work hours and shifts vary.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Wages are paid bi-weekly.
HOUSING
Federal requirements of employer for workers hired with H-2B Visa authorization and all corresponding U.S. workers. Company will consider all qualified candidates. Company is willing to facilitate housing accommodations through a third party to qualified candidates who reside 100 Miles or more outside of the work location and the candidate is willing to temporarily relocate to the work location. Housing is limited to the period of time of temporary employment which is no more than nine (9) months and is on a first come first serve basis. Cost of housing, if accepted, is up to $150.00 for a shared double room. If housing is utilized, an agreement for housing will be required. A security deposit may be required.
All deductions from paycheck will be made in accordance with and as required by law including but not limited proper deduction to ensure wages do not improperly fall below prevailing wage.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).
