Henry Ford Hospital seeks a BE/BC nephrologist interested in developing a clinical practice at one of the nation's most prestigious health care institutions in Detroit, Michigan as a Senior Staff Physician.
The position includes outpatient clinical nephrology and hypertension management, inpatient consultation services, and rounding in dialysis units for the conduct of peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis. Renal replacement therapy will generally be conducted within in-center hemodialysis units operated by Greenfield Health Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Henry Ford Hospital. As such, the candidate must fulfill all credentialing requirements of Greenfield Health Systems' physicians, as determined by its Chief Medical Officer.
Candidates will become a member of the 1,900 person Henry Ford Medical Group, with colleagues in more than 40 medical and surgical specialties. Collaboratively and coordination among the Medical Group requires documentation within the organization's EPIC electronic medical record. As feasible, participation in teaching and research is actively encouraged.
Candidates must have completed a three-year ACGME approved internal medicine residency, possess an active State of Michigan license, have an active DEA license, and have at least one year of postgraduate clinical practice with certification during fellowship of training in continuous renal replacement therapies, kidney biopsy and central venous catheter insertions using ultrasound guidance.
