Must be certified in the state of Michigan to perform repairs on cars and light trucks. ASE certifications are a plus. At least two-three years of professional experience is required. Must own tools, have reliable transportation, and valid driver's license. Qualifications -
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics
- Proficient in using power tools and specialized equipment for automotive service
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Common Daily Duties -
• Performing automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various makes and models of vehicles
• Inspecting and testing automotive electrical systems, including basic wiring, circuits, and components
• Use of power tools and specialized equipment to align, assemble, and disassemble vehicle parts
• Following technical manuals/diagrams to troubleshoot and resolve automotive issues
• Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and services performed
• Providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations to customers
• Welding / Custom bending of exhaust components
• Use of Mitchell 1 database
• Driving manual transmission vehicles
