Job Function: The site coordinator will develop, manage, and maintain high quality, youthcentered programs which impact student achievement through academic and enrichment activities for students and their families during out-of-school-time hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Create, implement and review lesson plans and align 21st CCLC site activities with goals that support student needs and school day learning.Supervise, monitor, and evaluate staff, vendors and volunteers. ? Maintain onsite documentation and records required for Grant and DHS Licensing compliance. ? Record and submit online and written reports. ? Facilitate communication to all staff with teachers, principals, parents, community partners, and project director. ? Participate in a continuous quality improvement process including assessing youth experiences, analyzing data, and setting goals. ? Establish and maintain positive connections to classroom teachers and building staff and regularly attend school day meetings to foster collaboration with school. ? Identify and recruit youth participants targeting students at risk of failing high academic standards or developing other behavioral and truancy risk factors. ? Demonstrate and model best practices in youth development for staff, volunteers and others. ? Attend regular staff meetings and required local, state, and national professional development. ? Seek opportunities to collaborate with community organizations and agencies to support families and students enrolled in out-of-school-time programs. ? Organize and implement regular parent/ family educational and service events throughout the year empowering and engaging parents in their child’s academics. ? Participate and collaborate with colleagues in a positive team environment. ? Serve in classrooms to align learning pedagogy, develop individualized learning supports, build rapport, and ensure consistent behavioral supports. ? Utilize school evaluation tools to design and implement effective programming to help increase academic engagement and performance. ? Build parent relationships and make contact to increase engagement and attendance ? Clearly and effectively communicate program happenings to school staff, parents, staff and others. Attend school day meetings to be able to clearly communicate school goals and events. ? Supervise, monitor, and evaluate staff, vendors and volunteers serving at site and ensure all proper documentation is on file for these individuals. ? Attend and implement field trips, family nights and other events with evening & weekend hours as needed.
