Job Function: This position provides direct instructional programming for students, manages classroom activities and behaviors, integrates classroom instruction with employment-related activities, and maintains open communication with student, families, and other education professionals. Works with students with a variety of backgrounds and skills. Works closely with the Career and Technical Center (CTC) to ensure program alignment and partnership for the advancement of students in this career pathway. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Coordinates the instructional process for construction trades in the classroom setting. 2. Assists students in developing appropriate career goals. 3. Outlines expectations, evaluate, and communicates with students about their work skills, behaviors, and attendance. 4. Manages construction trades classroom supplies and equipment. 5. Instructor is required to plan and organize their daily classroom and worksite activities to achieve the individual goals established for their students. 6. Make frequent and suitable decisions regarding classroom activities, student performance, instructional strategies, etc. on a daily basis. 7. Monitor the safety and well-being of students. 8. Maintain a working knowledge of current practices and trends in the field of Career and Technical Education. 9. Interact and maintain rapport with students, staff, and the community. 10. Other duties as assigned.
